TheVisit Part Two

The Fam after church.

Feb 2008
I can't believe how much my boy's have changed in a year. Well I can but time fly's and before you now it their a whole year older and a lot bigger! I love being a Mom, it is on of the things that bring me so much Joy!
Feb 2009

Happy late Valentines day! We got our boys a ballon and some treats for V-Day. We don't do much for Valentines day but the boys loved thier ballons!

Hudson and Grandpa doing thier pirate face! ARRR!

Do you notice were Hudson's leg went! We were trying to take family pictures and Hudson was so distracted( who my son distracted, pictures?) with this hole in the rock, we took a break and stuck his leg in it! He thought it was pretty cool!

The Girls! Oh I love that me and my Mom are best friends! We got along good while I was home but as soon as I moved out and had a family of my own we got even closer! I always appreciated all she did for me but I think I relized how much she really did when I had my own kids! I love you Mom thank you for all you did and still do! I also am close to my sister. We are eight years apart and when I was at home we were in completely different stages in life. Now she is 16 and we still aren't in the same stage but we sure love to hang out and of course we went shopping! Love you Beth!

Rinsing Remy of before we left the beach! We went and stayed the night in Vieques, which is a small island off Puerto Rico! It was beatuiful, it has really nice beaches with pretty blue water. The snorkling was alright, not as good as Culebra. We saw a sting ray and Trav saw a four foot baracuda. We found a lot of nice conck shells with creatures in them. I thought Culebra was prettier of the two islands.

Priceless!
Remy loved the beach chairs! He spent his time either playing in the sand and water or in the chair. He would sit and stand on it! I guess they were worth buying!

The reason we went and stayed in Vieques was to go and see the Bio Bay! It was so cool, this picture is from one of the websites that talk about it. It wasn't as bright as this but it was so worth the trip. The best way to discribe it would be that it was like the gatorade commericals were you see the color of their sweat on their bodies, the water would just glow as yous swam. My Mom chose not to get in and said it looked like we were all swimming in champange. Hudson thought it was so cool and loved the fact that he got to swim at night when it was dark.
We had to boil the conk shells to get the creatures out of them so we could keep the shells! I told Travis he would have to do this because they stink so bad and the smell of them made me so sick! We found out later that this is illegal in some states, like Florida. So I guess its good we are in PR. Anyways he boiled them in our kitchen, and yes I was clorox happy after!!! Here is Trav getting ready to eat it.....

He really did eat it. Brady and my dad also tried it...

.. and I didn't want to be left out! I have tried wild boar, a snail and what the heck why not a little conck! It wasn't to bad, a little rubbery. It is a delicacy in some places and really expensive.
It probably wouldn't taste so bad if it was cooked right and I didn't have to see what it looked like before and smell it cooking!
Here we are having a piece of chocalate with Parley so he didn't feel left out.( lucky him he was the only one not trying to get the taste out of his mouth)
The two brown and tan ones Travis found, we have never seen these kind before they are called King helment conck. I love how shiny they are.

Finished project!

The Visit Part One

My Family came to visit us for 10 days and we had a blast! They took a red eye flight and were quickly able to adjust to the three hour difference. Hudson was so excited to see everyone, we all were! He quickly put poor tired Grandpa to sleep,( easy to do when you have no sleep all night on a plane) but not before showing him a few of his favorite toys!

Grandpa and Remy walking at the beach.

Hudson's personal potty! We had to do this a few times, it was alot of fun! Good thing we always had ziplock bags to line the sand bucket with! Bet you wanna play with that bucket :) !

Buggie boardin with Papa!

Grandpa even showed me up at surfin!

Travis and Hudson Surf boarding!

I love this picture. Remy loves his bor so much! It dosen't take much to get him smiling and laughing.

Remy and Grandma chillin at the beach.

Our good friends the Draves joined us at the beach! Josh made a sand car for the boys!

Remy and me hanging out, Travis brought this to sleep in because he had to work a graveward shift that night and didn't want to miss out!

I am sure everyone loved that Hudson is up at the crack of dawn and is ready to play! He at least waited until 8 to wake up his Aunt and Uncles!

A Fun Game

Here is a little bit of fun.....Here is how it works-the 1st 3 people to leave a comment on this post will receive at some point during this year a handmade gift from me. What it will be and when it will arrive is a total surprise! The catch is that you must participate as well. Before you leave your comment here write up a pay it forward post on your blog to keep the fun going( or cut and paste..no one will judge you, cause that is what I did). Then come back and let me know you are going to play, and sit back and anticipate the arrival of your gift. Remember only the 1st 3 will qualify. Good Luck!!!

Remy took his first few steps on Feb. 12th. It was so exciting because we had my familly here and it was nice to share that with them! I just love how after he claps for himself after he did it! He still isn't walking yet but he is starting to at least try! I Wanted to share it with all of you! Sorry for the nice outfit I just got done working out.

Guilligan's Island

We went to this cool island on the south side of the island a few weeks ago and have been meaning to post so pics. It was really fun we went with a few freinds from the ward and had a really good time! It dosen't have much of a beach but the snorkeling was awesome!

You can see how clear the water is. The island is pretty much all mangrove trees.

Hudson and Carter wrestled for a a while, they were pretty rough but both were laughing the whole time! They are a perfect match! They both have younger brothers they have to be careful with so they loved that they could play rough!

Remy, always so pleasent! He loves to play in the water and the sand!

The girls! Mardy, Colette, Julia, and me!

Well were do I start... We see a lot of these scary suits here. This particular man walked out strutting his stuff all the way to the end of the dock were people were coming to get on the ferry. Once we went back to get the people he walked back down the dock. It was pretty funny considering the fact that he didn't even get on the boat!

Kind of a random picture but Remy saw his brother doing this and the next day he wanted to join in on it! This is how I found him! Funny boy!

More updates to come! My family was here and just left so I will be posting more soon!

Vistors, Culebra, and way to much fun!

Our friends came to visit us with thier two cute girls! We had so much fun showing them a few fun things to do in PR! Here are all the kiddos at Escambrone Beach!

Silly Remy, He now loves to get all sandy! I love this pic!

We went to El Morro in Old San Juan, it is one of the two forts here.

This is a cool grave yard that you can look down into. The grave yards are all above ground. It was pretty cool.

We went to Culebra which has the most amazing beach! The water is so clear and bright blue, this picture dose not do justice!

Olivia and Hudson have been friends since they were babies! They had so much fun playing together!

The boy's crashed on the way home on the ferry, well okay I did too but I woke up before they did so they were lucky ones to have their pictures taken!

All of us minus Remy who was being well taken care of by my friend Sarah. Thanks Juarez's for coming to see us! We had so much fun!
