Téa Jo

We have decided a name for our baby girl! It is going to be Téa and the middle name Jo. We have loved the name Téa since we were first married and this time we get to use it! We decided a few weeks ago for sure. We hadn't told the boys yet and Travis was saying the prayer and said Téa in the prayer. After Hudson said " who is Téa"? We told him that was what his baby sisters name was going to be. Hudson replied " I don't like that". The next day he must have forgot because he was so excited to tell everyone the name. I wanted to make a quilt so after searching on the internet I finally made a decision on fabric. I have never made a quilt other than the rag ones. I got my fabric and it took me a few days to get brave enough to cut it, then it took me a few weeks to get brave enough to sew it. Once I started sewing I was so excited to finish it and I was happy the way it turned out. I am going to mail it to my Grandma to have her take it to her lady that does the finish work. I can't wait to have it all the way done. I am finding that I enjoy to sew I just need to make time for it. I just ordered a more fabric to make some burp rags for Téa and as gifts.

The backing is the lighter blue color fabric and the binding is going to be the darker turquoise color.

Update better late than never!

We decided to have a change of scenery for a run this week so we took the boys on a train ride to the iguana park . There is path that goes along the bay to Centeral Park. They have some fun play ground so the boys enjoyed playing then we headed back and looked at the iguanas. The night before we told Hudson about the plans and he wanted to draw an iguana. He is becoming quite the artist. Here are a few of his latest ones drawings.

Iguana

Fish

Lizards
Waiting for the train, Remy is now worried about loud noises so he was covering his ears at first then relized that it wasn't to loud.

I remember riding ones like these when I was little the boys loved them

Classic miss matching shoes that Hudson likes to do now, thanks to dad for giving him the idea!

Climbing on the huge jack.

This is one of my favorite tropical flowers in PR! I love the tropical plants I will miss them for sure!

Checking out the iguanas
They are all over in the trees, this one is not as big as the other ones but this is the best pic I could get.

Remy enjoying some frosting later that day.
Today Hudson was wearing his spiderman costume and was kind enough to share it with his brother. Remy thought he was pretty hot stuff. This is his spiderman pose, he does this at night right after we put his spiderman jammies on and says "Spiderman"!

Hudson decided to join and told Remy that they were know playing superheros. They ran around the house laughing and having a good time. They are good little buddies!
Travis took this picture a while ago and I thought it was cute. We bought Buzz a for Hudson a few years ago and Woody just joined the family this month. The boys love the Toy Story movies and we are so excited to see the new one it won't come out soon enough!! Soon after buying Woody Hudson had the idea to write Remy and his name on the boots. This will be a good picture to put on their door when they start to share a room.

Egg Roll and Easter baskets

We had our annual egg roll on friday night because Travis had to work Easter night. It is always fun to introduce this fun tradition to other friends. We had some good laughs while they were getting the idea of how it worked.
The dads going against each other, this was one of the funniest moments in our egg rolling days. We probably should have had us go first since we know how it is done but we just explained it and let Wes go for it. I think Travis' egg was close to being in half when they went. We must have left out the part about just letting it go easy and not rolling it as fast and hard as you can. We had a good laugh and let them have another round.
The boys had fun this year and Remy really wanted to have no help at all so we all helped be bumpers so the eggs wouldn't fall off the table.
Brinlee was the winner so she got to take the egg roll trophy home that Travis made out of his running one. It was nice to have one of the girls win and for us to get ride of the trophy!
I had a little to much fun that night and decided to spray whip cream on Travis! He was suprised that I actually did it.
Easter Morning...
I guess the Easter bunny should have remebered where she hid the baskets last year because Hudson remembered where his was last year and that is where Remy's was today.
I know this picture is a little blurry but funny for two reasons. Hudson who is making a mad dash to find his basket after seeing that it was Remy's basket and for Remy's excited face for the tractor that was in his basket!
Hudson's was hid a little harder this year. Its a good thing the bunny left a little bit of grass hanging out so he could find it. I remember as a kid when we got older it got harder and harder to find our baskets. I remember one year having to go to church and not finding yet.

Easter egg hunt at the beach!

Some friends invited us to the beach to have a Easter egg hunt, and play. The boys had fun finding the eggs then swimming and playing at the beach. There was some good size waves for boggie boarding, by the time I made it down to take some pictures of Hudson he was done he had enough big crashes and decided it was Remy's turn.

All lined up waiting to start the egg hunt.

Showing Dad all there goods

Remy had a fun time boogie boarding on the little waves...

This wave was a little big see what happened...

no Remy
All done after that last big wave he decided he had enough, notice the sand and nice wave hair! Funny boy!
